at the Lazarski University campus in Warsaw, 43 Swieradowska St.,

Participants wishing to use this service are kindly requested to bring their mobile phone and headphones.

A limited number of parking spaces will be available in the underground car park or behind Building F. We strongly encourage the use of public transportation.


During the Łazarski University Academic Year Inauguration, the event will be photographed, filmed and streamed online.

Consequently, the likeness and, in the case of recordings, the voices of those attending the event may be captured as part of photographic documentation, video recordings or live streams.

This material may be published on the University’s official communication channels, on the University’s website, on YouTube and on the University’s social media platforms; selected material may also be used in the University’s future information, promotional and recruitment activities, in accordance with the applicable regulations on the dissemination of images.

Due to the nature of the event, no designated area free from photography, recording or broadcasting is provided.

The University will endeavour to ensure that the documentation of the event focuses on its proceedings and on the speakers and participants in a manner appropriate to the nature of the event.

In accordance with Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), OJ (EU) L 119, 2016), Lazarski University hereby informs you that:

  1. The controller of your personal data is Lazarski University, with its registered office in Warsaw at ul. Świeradowska 43, 02-662 Warsaw.

  2. The controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer, who can be contacted at iod@lazarski.edu.pl.

  3. Your personal data will be processed for the following purposes:

    1. to handle applications, register participants, and organise and ensure the smooth running of the Inauguration of the Academic Year, including the provision of organisational information relating to participation in the Inauguration of the Academic Year at Lazarski University, pursuant to Article 6(1)( (b), the performance of the contract and the implementation of the academic year’s calendar of events adopted by the University.

    2. documenting the course of the Inauguration of the Academic Year, including by taking photographs, recording audiovisual material and conducting an online broadcast (streaming) pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, the University’s legitimate interest in documenting its activities and organised events, and in providing information about the University’s activities,

    3. publishing photographic and audiovisual material relating to the Inauguration of the Academic Year on the University’s official communication channels, on the University’s website, on YouTube, and on the University’s profiles on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, the University’s legitimate interest in providing information about its activities, documenting organised events and communicating with the academic community and the University’s socio-economic environment,

    4. the preparation, publication and subsequent use of photographic and audiovisual material relating to the event, including photo galleries, photo reports and video material, on the University’s website, on YouTube, on social media, in information materials, publications and the University’s promotional and recruitment materials and campaigns, as well as in other materials concerning the University’s activities, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, within the framework of the University’s legitimate interest in documenting, providing information about and promoting the University’s activities, to the extent permitted by applicable legislation on the protection of personal data and the dissemination of images.

  4. During the Inauguration of the Academic Year, photographic and audiovisual documentation will be carried out and the event will be streamed online. The event may also be recorded and subsequently published on YouTube and other official University communication channels.
    The material may feature speakers at the event, attendees, as well as people in the background or forming part of a wider scene.
    Due to the nature and format of the event, the University does not provide a designated area free from photography, recording or live streaming. Participation in the event entails the possibility that a participant’s image or voice may be recorded as part of the photographic and audiovisual documentation or the live stream.
    The University will take appropriate organisational measures to limit the recording and publication of participants’ images as the main, individual subject of the material, unless this is justified by the nature of the documentation or another legally justified purpose of the University.
    In the case of material in which a person is merely part of a larger whole, in particular a gathering or a public event, the University may disseminate such an image to the extent permitted by law.

  5. Your personal data will be retained by the Data Controller for the period necessary to facilitate your participation in the Inauguration of the Academic Year at Lazarski University, unless a longer processing period is required, for example, for the purposes of establishing, investigating or defending against claims. Photographic and audiovisual material may be retained for the period necessary to fulfil the University’s documentation, information and promotional purposes.

  6. The recipients of your personal data will be limited to entities authorised to obtain personal data in accordance with the law. The data may also be disclosed to our subcontractors, suppliers of software and IT tools, hosting providers, and entities providing photography, film and online streaming services.

  7. The Controller will not make any automated decisions based on personal data, including decisions resulting from profiling within the meaning of the GDPR.
  8. You have the right to request that the Controller grant you access to your personal data, the right to have it rectified, erased or its processing restricted, and the right to data portability.

  9. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection.

  10. You have the right to object, at any time, to the processing of your personal data on the grounds set out in Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

  11. Providing personal data is voluntary, but it is necessary to complete registration and take part in the Inauguration. Failure to provide this information may result in you being unable to take part in the Inauguration.

  12. Your personal data will not be transferred to a third country or an international organisation, unless required to do so by the Controller’s legal obligations.

  13. This information clause does not constitute consent to the dissemination of an image in cases where such consent is required by law. In the case of material in which a person is depicted individually and constitutes the main or predominant subject of a photograph or recording, the University will, in each instance, take into account the requirements arising from the provisions on the protection of likeness, in particular Article 81 of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights.
